Concord Real Estate at the RE:D Conference in Podgorica – A Personal Perspective on the Future of the Market

On May 15 and 16, we had the opportunity to attend the RE:D Conference in Podgorica—an event organized by bankar.me that brought together some of the most influential figures from the worlds of real estate, investment, architecture, and technology. As the Concord Real Estate team, we were honored to be part of this gathering, which exceeded all expectations—not only in terms of organization, but also in the depth of topics and knowledge exchange.

Opening Conversations: The Future of Living

The conference opened numerous discussions on the future of housing, smart solutions, energy efficiency, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence on architecture and construction. A clear need emerged for all stakeholders—investors, agents, urban planners, architects, and policymakers—to think more broadly, long-term, and sustainably.

Panel Discussion: Sustainable Futures and Upcoming Changes

It was a particular honor that Nikola Keković, CEO of Concord Real Estate, participated in a panel discussion. Alongside Prof. Dr. Veljko Radulović (Studio GRAD) and Tamara Veselinović (DHG Holding AG), he shared insights on the market challenges awaiting us in the near future.

In short, the panel focused on three key areas:

1. Sustainable Construction and Climate Change
Architecture must no longer simply build the world we want, but the world in which we can survive—Radulović emphasized, referencing this year’s Venice Biennale.

2. Smart Homes and New Generations of Buyers
Nikola discussed how digital nomads, remote work, and technological innovations are reshaping buyer demands—from functionality to the need for smart solutions and more efficient use of space.

3. The Impact of AI Technology and International Markets
Tamara shared experiences from Switzerland and the UAE, where artificial intelligence is already applied in design, highlighting the changes that will soon reach the regional market.

Real Estate Beyond “Square Meters and Location”

While we await more detailed insights and conclusions from Nikola and the Concord Real Estate team, one thing is certain—the real estate market is no longer just about square meters and location. Today, eco-consciousness, smart technologies, new lifestyles, and broader social responsibility are part of the equation.

RE:D as a Call for Dialogue—and Action

The RE:D Conference was not just a meeting point—it was a place to shift perspectives. Conversations highlighted the need for greener, smarter construction, adapting to new generations and their priorities, and how Montenegro’s market must respond faster to global trends to remain competitive.

For us at Concord Real Estate, this experience further reinforced the belief that the future lies in combining aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. Events like this are essential for creating a shared vision—not only of the apartments we sell, but also of the cities in which we live.
